The Ungrateful Brother

The day Ajakura was born, his elder brother, Ebiwei was already a married man and was the one who even represent their father during his dedication in the church.
As the first born of their mother, Ajakura look up on Ebiwei because he was under the care of him . He lived with his elder brother in his bamboo house as of that time and his brother was a successful business man who provide him whatever thing he want in life. He was sent to school by his brother but he could not finish his o'level because of his poor performances in school. But still the brother was given him money to love an enjoyable life.
When Ajakura became of age, he travelled to Lagos to live with one of their uncle. He stays with him for five years and later transferred to his cousin brother in the same Lagos who introduced him to an illegal oil business in a place called Abulegba. The business was a deadly one that people lost their lives everyday, but the business is very lucrative. During that time, the business was peaceful because many of the government officials who were put in charge to watch the place, were in a deep relationship with the people in the business in terms of collecting bribes from them. Also, there was nothing militant groups in the river but all the people were equal except those who opened the pipelines were placed as leaders. So anytime Ajakura returns home he always comes with money but he has never one day give to his brother who supported him since his childhood. But still the brother did not feel bad, instead he will said, "It is my own pride as far as my brother is progressing".
After some years, the atmosphere of the business changed, things were no longer at ease and everything fall apart. A militant group was formed by some of the boys in the creek and they where punishing their fellow partners and kill those who struggle power with them. The worse was that they kill military personnels who were assigned to watch the creek. But this result to destruction that made the government to floss out all the people in the creek and turned the place to military barack. After this incident, some of these boys still hide in the forest and mastermind another plan by kidnapping prominent people in the area and also rube shops and collect their foods and this made the people around this area to have restless time. But Ajakura was not counted among these hoodlums that were terrorizing the whole Lagos state, instead he returned home and luckily me another crude oil business in the village.
In same way, the business was very lucrative. A big local boat will be used by some business tycoons from Niger Delter to load the crude oil from pipelines located in the area of Opuama and Gharanmotu to sell to the local retailers.
However, Ajakura built two houses and aslo got married. He always spend money to his satisfaction but still give not a dime to his elder brother, Ebiwei.
