12th July
12th July
The memory of 12th July,
can never fade in my mind.
Like a light of new dawn,
this day always refresh my memory.
Like a thunder summoning the rain,
this day always prepare'd my mind for a new season of harvest.
T'was exactly this day that the sun travelled across the sky and did not return.
Before the sun embark'd on the journey,
He made a promise to the little bird;
that he will return to give light for a new dawn.
Then he back'd the little bird and starts the journey.
When they approach the sky, he dropp'd the little bird and ask'd him to wait for him,
then I saw the sky welcoming him!
The little bird wait'd......
And he wait'd in a thousand times.
But he did not get his return.
Though signs were given for this journey of no return.
Like a Peter on empty ship,
the little bird became a Peter with petered out desire.
The farmers began to prepare their crops for planting,
thinking that the rain will fall.
They start to plant and plant everyday.
They put all hands on deck to enslave failure inorder to meet up with the rain.
Then after planting,
they started waiting for the rain like a goal keeper.
But the rain failed to fall.
I saw three unknown creatures.....
that came out to welcome the sun.
With the interpretation of the little bird:
the first one represent the moon,
the second one represent the head of the stars and while the last one represent the angel of the sun.
They were the God's creatures
that came to visit him.
NO ONE CAN TELL THE STORY EXCEPT ME
The ways of the holy people are completely difference and unfathomable. Eleven days to this Glorious Day (12th July), I accompanied grandpa to Akure for medical check up. He was not ill but healthy and strong to disbelieve the prophecy that he will answer the call of God on this day (12th July).
Ever since I grown up to know grandpa, he has never agreed to the idea of going to the hospital for medical treatment or check up and one who dare to say that he should buy the idea, that person must face the wrath of his anger. Grandpa will only say that he doesn't have a doctor except God who created him. But surprisingly, he became ready by himself and said to me: " Lene, it's time to go to the hospital now for the medical treatment. So prepare everything and get ready to accompany me for the journey".
Our initial plan was to go to Gani Fawehinmi hospital in Ondo, but when we got there grandpa changed his mind and insisted that we are going straight to Akure and want the doctor to attend to him in the house........that he doesn't want to be hospitalized or treated in the hospital.
To biblically allude: "And it came to pass when the LORD would take up Elizah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elizah went with Elisha from Gigal. And Elizah said unto Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bathel. And Elisha said unto him, as the LORD liveth, as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel. And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head today." I walked the journey with grandpa to the end, even to cross the River Jordan like Elisha and his master.
However, the prophets of God were given revelations about grandpa's departure, but I still summoned courage and have faith that as certainly as the Lord lives and as certainly as he (grandpa) lives, I will not leave him. To mention one of the prophets: a prophet of God called Primate M.T. Agitan (JP), late😪, prophesized that the angels of God are done building the house of the "Great Man of God" in heaven and it is entirely made with glasses. Also, a padlock is put on the mouth of the door that once they remove it, the "Great Man of God" will be taken away by the angels of God. But I still summoned courage and have faith that as certainly as the Lord lives and as certainly as he lives, I will never leave him but stays with him till the very end.
Four days to the 12th July, grandpa called me "Lene" "Lene" "Lene" (he calls three times) and said to me while sitting with him in the room that like Elizah blessed his servant (Elisha), he has blessed me with all my heart desires and my name will be on every man's mouth. Though I didn't take it serious.......not knowing that his spirit had already left the physical world.
And the following day, grandpa instructed me to sit on his chair in the room while he was lying down on the bed with a white singlet, short nika and the sandals he newly bought at Ondo, and he was looking stunning with his newly dyed hair because we were already preparing to return home. Then he asked me to face him while still sitting on the chair, which I did and waited for like 30minutes and later directed me to lay behind him on the bed. It was around 7:p.m. and that was how I slept off till night break.
On the 12th of July, 2014, a Great and Wonderful thing happened in Akure. 4:p.m. precisely, there came three feather birds called Tamara-Idoli in ordinary language that stood up by the three corners of the parlour (sitting room) where grandpa was sitting down. Then his grandson called Ebikimi Foloki wanted to chase them away, but grandpa stopped him and insisted that he should allow them to stay.
After some minutes, the birds started flying around him in the place where he was sitting down and later went away. Then he asked the people with him: "The birds that came in, have they gone out? And they answered......"Yes, they have gone out". Then he interprets the visitation of the birds that one of them is Moses Orimolade, the second one is St. Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi and while the last one was his angel called Eli-Arami (The Angel of Thunder), they were the visitors that came to visit him. Then he instructed me to close all the windows and doors of the house, except the front door which was directly facing him. However, a gentle breeze came into the sitting room without any sign of rain or bad whether outside, but stopped after some minutes.
After some hours, we wanted to close the door that was left opened according to his instruction because it was already night, but he refused us and insisted that it should be left open still.
By exactly 7:p.m. that night, grandpa requested for tea and bread which was made and brought by my late aunt, Mrs. Celinah Foloki who answered the call of God last year😢😰, 2021 after a brief illness. Then he shared part of it to my aunt, to my father and gave his to me after taken a little from it. But my dad at first insisted that he doesn't want tea and bread, but preferred to take swallow (eguci soup with fufun). "If you take the tea, will that stop you from eating your soup? grandpa asked. "NO" my father replied. "Then drink the tea that I specially blessed for you" said grandpa. And that was how my dad took the tea but still joined his eguci soup to balance up the equation.
"And it came to pass, as they still went on and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire and parted them both asunder; and Elizah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, my father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more." Exactly 10:p.m. that night, lol and behold, the angels of God came and took "him away". The only word that came out from his mouth was JAH JAH JAH (three times) "The angels of God have taken me away".
We didn't take it serious when grandpa instructed us to recharge all our phones, including his that night. But we later discovered the seriousness and purpose while he did that. However, we got to know and understand that we should recharge the phones so that we can use them to announce his death!
I fainted two times when grandpa's corpse was moved to the mortuary, but he returned me back to the physical world to fulfill my destiny.
I want to testify today that you have granted the blessings upon my life, and you are the source of my greatness today. You are the playwright that conceptualized the play everyone is watching on the stage.
Grandpa, your holiness is incomparable with the beauty of the summer! You are a man of God with impeachable and infallible spirit. Indeed, you depict the true image of St. Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi, the founder of Zion. You deserved the accolades to be celebrated, and that is why today (July 12) is marked specially for your remembrance.
To the very end, you are irreplaceable in my heart. May your Holy Soul continues to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Adieu, ene-opudau😰😢.
