Poem

A Chant of the Blacks: By Lene Ododomu

                   The Poem
Because we were born black,
the world decide to deny us.
Because black is beautiful!
Then the world became Jealous at us.

We were not created as infra-digs
But we were created to form a land.
We owns this land call'd the black kingdom.
And this black kingdom is black kingdom
This kingdom is as beautiful as diamond!
It is a kingdom that put a smile
on the furious face of the sun.
It is a kingdom that pushes down
the sky with it's dazzling beauty!

Then it is believe that
the whites also owns their kingdom
And the white kingdom is white kingdom
So why are we been oppress'd by the whites?
Are we not created by the same creator?
Why are they enslaving us?

We are sad
And we are disappointed
Because we were betrayed by our own colour.
The rich blacks, who are richer than us
that sold us to these people.

As slaves, we work from morning till night
But still, we could not satisfy them
And we have no option
than to accept our fates.

What should we do to stop this devil
that is denying our manhood?
How do we stop this devil
that is puttung us severe injuries everyday?
Let's tell freedom.
